Casting to Your Smart TV
Casting is great to view videos on a larger screen or use a device with better sound quality. Users can cast content to their TV using Chromecast or AirPlay.
Using AirPlay: (iOS Only)
Device Needed:
- Apple TV HD (4th generation) or Apple TV 4K (5th generation)
- Smart TV with AirPlay2 built-in (view full list here)
To Use:
- Make sure the Airplay device is on and connected to WiFi.
- Connect your iOS device to the same WiFi.
- Open the app and play video. Tap the AirPlay icon, then Choose Device.
AirPlay Troubleshooting:
If you do not see the icon:
- There are no devices available to connect to.
- AirPlay device is not turned ON or is not nearby.
- AirPlay and mobile device are not connected to the same WiFi.

Using Chromecast: (Android & iOS)
Device Needed:
To Use:
- Make sure Chromecast device is ON and connected to WiFi.
- Connect your Android or iOS device to the same WiFi.
- Open the app, then open a video. Tap the Chromecast icon, then Choose Device.
Chromecast Troubleshooting:
If you do not see an icon (Android & iOS):
- There are no devices available to connect to.
- Chromecast device is not turned ON or is not nearby.
- Chromecast & mobile devices are not connected to the same WiFi.
Using iPhone or iPad? Is the device using iOS 14.2 or later?
- Connect to Devices on Local Network must be enabled to use Chromecast.
- Allows the app to use WiFi to find & connect to devices; added with update 14.2.
Follow these steps to check:
- Check version: >Settings >General >Software Update.
- If 14.2 or later, enable access (see below).
- Force-close (swipe up from home screen), then reopen.
- If you do not see an icon when you reopen, delete & reinstall.
- A notification appears when you open app/connect to WiFi.
Enable Access: >Settings >Privacy >Local Network >Find App >Turn ON
